Zell am Ziller Resort Description
Zell am Ziller is a municipality in the Schwaz district of Tyrol, Austria. The name derives from the river Ziller, located in the heart of the Zillertal valley, Zell am Ziller is an exciting gateway to the Zillertal Arena: Ski and snowboard schools, a 7 km (4.5 miles) floodlit tobogganing run and the Freizeitpark Zell (leisure park).
Zell am Ziller is a small, picturesque town, approx. 10km from Mayrhofen. Though smaller and quieter than its more famous neighbour, you'll find everything you need from a selection of bars and restaurants to a range of activities including night skiing, curling, sleigh rides and swimming.
From the resort you have access to 40 km of ski runs, the majority of medium difficulty, and 7 km for the advanced skiers. For snowboarders there are 2 snow parks. Wildspitz is at 3774m and the highest mountain in Austria, the Grossglockner 3797m reaches into Tyrol.
