Vail Ski Resort Guide & Piste Map
Vail Resort Description
Vail Ski Resort is located in Eagle County, Colorado, next to the town of Vail. Vail Mountain has three sections: The Front-Side, Blue Sky Basin, and the Back Bowls. With 5,289 acres (2,140 ha), it is the largest single mountain ski resort in the United States.
Vail is pedestrian-only, with four main base areas centered around a mock-Tyrolean theme. The off-slope Vail activities are numerous and just a few examples include sleigh rides, day spas, galleries, and of course the amazing Vail shopping.
