La Tzoumaz Resort Description
La Tzoumaz is a ski resort in the Swiss Alps, in the canton of Valais and part of the 4 Vallées ski area. It is considered to be one of the largest in Europe and also popular with families, having a small ski lift for children, a natural ice rink, a heated swimming pool, 12 ski runs with a total length 28 km and the longest floodlit sledge run in Western Switzerland (at 10 kilometres).
There are 12 lifts (1 cable car, 5 chair lifts, 6 surface lifts) that offers skiers an impressive 634 metres (2081 feet) of vertical descent. La Tzoumaz is best suited to intermediate skiers and snowboarders but there is some terrain for beginners and advanced skiers. The resort has a population of just over 300 and is popular with British, German and Dutch visitors.
