Banff Resort Description
Banff is a town within Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada.
It is a big summer tourist town, with two ski areas nearby. Mt Norquay is a tiny area of slopes overlooking the town. Sunshine Village, its base station 20 minutes drive from Banff, is a much bigger mountain. The Rogers terrain park on Lookout Mountain covers an impressive 12 acres of terrain with obstacles geared towards beginners and intermediates.
Banff consists basically of a long main street connecting the downtown area a small network of side roads built in grid fashion, lined with clothing and souvenir shops aimed at summer visitors with a large area of hotel and condo lodgings.
