Galtur Resort Description Snow Range: 1400-2864m Village Heights 1,585m (5,200ft) Highest Lift 2,864m Galtur ski resort is a traditional, small Austrian alpine village near the Swiss boarder, in the Silvetta Mountains. It is a family resort and one of Austria's highest, at an altitude of 1600m, which usually means that it gets great snow. The uncrowded skiing at Galtur is ideal for beginners and early intermediates. The area also enjoys excellent snow records until late into the season and you can "Ski 2 Countries" with a great run down into Samnaun in Switzerland! Apres Ski: Galtur has a number of restaurants offering great traditional Tyrolean food and Leo's Pizzeria for those looking for something less traditional!
