St Christoph Resort Description Although part of St Anton’s magnificent ski circuit the small resort of St Christoph is a major attraction in its own right. The tiniest of resorts - a handful of colourful old buildings cocooned in deep snow - St Christoph has a fairytale quality not repeated anywhere in Austria. St Christoph in the Arlberg region of Austria forms part of the best ski area in Austria. It has immediate access to the skiing above St Anton as well as ski pistes down to Stuben am Arlberg. The ski holiday resort of St Christoph is upmarket and stylish and often drowns in snow, the height and the snow record in the region make St Christoph one of the snowiest places in the Alps. Itis a large resort with 40 lifts (14 chair lifts, 21 surface lifts) that offers skiers an incredible 1011 metres (3317 feet) of vertical descent. St Christoph has 642 acres of terrain with pistes having a total length of 260 kilometers (162 miles). St Christoph is best suited for intermediate skiers and snowboarders but there is a also a lot of terrain for beginners and experts too. There are 35 kilometers (22 miles) of cross country ski trails at St Christoph. There are some authentic Austrian restaurants and plenty of local pubs to visit. The local shops provide for an authentic Austrian.
