Squaw Valley Resort Description

Squaw Valley Ski Resort in Olympic Valley, California, is one of the largest ski areas in the United States, and was the site of the 1960 Winter Olympics. It is the second-largest ski area at Lake Tahoe after Heavenly, and attracts approximately 600,000 skiers a year.
Squaw's summit elevation is 9,050 feet at Granite Chief, and it features more than 150 possible runs covering more than 4,000 acres of terrain. Six mountain peaks are accessed by 34 lifts, including an aerial cable car and North America's only high-speed Funitel, a speedy, six-person gondola.
Guests will also delight in Squaw Valley as it has a stylish pedestrian village. The buildings and their carefully connected walkways add the warm and inviting ambiance of a European style mountain village with new restaurants, shops and experiences to share with friends and families.
