Selva Resort Description Selva Val Gardena lies in the heart of the famous dolomites superski area, which is the largest ski network in the world. With its dramatic scenery, traditional Austrian style architecture (it was under Austrian rule for many years), but Italian charm it is bound to please. It is a long roadside village with traditional architecture and is famous for its woodcarvings. Selva almost merges with its neighbour St Cristina. The local scenery is dramatic and awe inspiring you’ll certainly spend lots of time admiring the wonderful views across the whole area. In the heart of the mighty Dolomites, declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2009, Selva is a great family village, and enjoys the best location on the Sella Ronda circuit if you want to explore the area in either direction. Selva and Santa Cristina are virtually joined to make up the largest resort on the Sella Ronda circuit with 175km of runs. It is a big domain, with a highly efficient lift system, 120km of snowmaking coverage, great scenery and generally good value, it is easily accessible slopes and is connected by some 450 lifts and ski buses.
