Sauze d`Oulx Resort Description Sauze d'Oulx...I have had some wonderful ski hols here so don't get me wrong when I say it's the Costa Brava of ski resorts. Brits used to trek here in their loads (and still do) to party and ski hard. The attraction has to be the party atmosphere and the price along with that laid back Italian way. Sauze d'Oulx links up with several Italian ski resorts such as Claviere and setriere along with Montgenevre in France to create a ski area called the Milky Way. It does not rival say Trois Vally as the lift system has (especially on the Italian side) not had a lot of updating and it does not have the height. You will however get a lot of beer, sun, skiing and good times at an affordable cost. The transfer time is very good also with Turin just 1.5 hours from sauze d'Oulx. We have a few ski chalets in Sauze but not of the quantity that we have in France they just don't go for it here. A must is the Andy Cap's ski race, a race sponsored by the bar Andy Cap's which is video and then viewd live in the bar afterwards with prizes. The Apres ski is as you can imagine lively and great fun with lots of places to go centrally located. It is what it says on the packet an affordable, fun ski area with a lot of skiing (if you are not in a rush!).
