Saas Fee Resort Description Saas-Fee is the main village in the Saastal, or the Saas Valley, and is a municipality in the district of Visp in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. It is one of the world's most beautiful ski resorts, set in a spectacular location surrounded by the highest mountains in the Swiss Alps. Four villages arose out of Saas - of those four Saas Fee, also known as "The Pearl of the Alps", is the most renowned; 13 four thousand meter peaks surround the glacier village, which is located at an altitude of 1800 meters above sea level. Saas-Fee is recognised as one of Switzerland’s more family friendly ski resorts with lots of flat sunny slopes for beginners and plenty of supervised activities for children. Saas-Fee’s piste skiing is quite extensive and snow conditions are usually first class. The village of Saas Fee is a very pretty, traffic-free resort with Swiss style chalets, a good choice of bars and restaurants the resort has plenty for the non-skiier including an entire mountain for walking, paragliding and tobogganing.
