Kitzbuhel Resort Description Kitzbühel is a small medieval town in Tyrol, Austria. It is situated in the Kitzbühel Alps about 100 kilometres (62 mi) east of the state capital of Innsbruck and it's a ski resort of international renown. It's a unique, atmospheric, animated valley town steeped in skiing history and host to the world famous Hahnenkamm World Cup downhill race that takes place every year in January. Colourful medieval buildings, archways and cobbled streets full of character and stylish shops make up the pedestrianised resort centre. The resort has an international and vibrant feel with a lively après-ski scene and has around 165 kilometres of piste for all abilities.
