Cortina Resort Description Cortina is a wonderful resort in the heart of the Dolomites with the most dramatic scenery. Cortina d’Ampezzo, to give the resort its entire title, is an attractive old mountain town beneath truly beautiful mountains. Cortina resort is squarely aimed at the intermediate and beginner and there are some great nursery slopes. Overall 62% of the terrain is suited to intermediates, 33% to beginners and 5% suited for advanced skiers and snowboarders. Cortina is a very attractive and upmarket town with many boutiques, restaurants and bars. Many people come to the resort simply to shop, eat and be seen. Other apres-ski activities include a swimming pool, saunas, health spa, art gallery, cinema and indoor tennis. It really is one of the top ski resorts in the world. You may recall a certain bond movie with Sean Connery in and lots of skiing. Cortina is very traditional and attractive place.
