French Alps ski apartment - This apartment is situated in the village of Avoriaz at walking distance from all amenities, restaurants, shops and ski slopes. This Haute-Savoie ski resort is fun and vibrant and is ideally located in the middle of the extensive Portes du Soleil ski area, which offers over 650 kms of pisted slopes that reach from France into neighbouring Switzerland, the largest linked ski area in the world.
This apartment offers a very cosy and comfortable accommodation for parties of up to 12 people who enjoy winter sports in a beautiful surrounding of steep snow-capped mountains and typical Alpine atmosphere. The private sauna at the lower level is the perfect place for guests to relax at the end of an active day on the slopes.
In the streets of this entirely ‘pedestrian’ resort, sleighs replace cars and skiers can ski right to their front door, children travel in sledges and can enjoy sliding down the baby slope right in the centre of town.
Avoriaz offers a chance to learn to ski, whilst also offering a challenge to more advanced skiers (an assortment of wide easy slopes and black, red or blue runs to explore), plus snowboard parks. However, those not particularly fond of skiing will not get bored in Avoriaz. In fact both day life and nightlife are fun and exciting here. You can choose from a wide selection of top quality gourmet restaurants and trendy cafes, bistros and pizzerias. A sports centre offers sauna, solarium, bowling, ice skating, helicopter rides and snow shoe walking.
