This chalet, a luxury catered chalet, comfortably sleeps up to twelve guests and is situated adjacent to the lifts and piste, right in the heart of the alpine village of Tignes les Brévières, avoiding the steep walks or the necessity to be transported to the slopes as happens with the more remote chalets up the hill in Tignes les Brévières.
This chalet is the nearest true chalet to the piste and lifts of Tignes les Brévières. It is not a collection of apartments or rooms, situated above shops, bars or restaurants, but an old farm house, which has recently been carefully and lovingly renovated to the highest standards, incorporating many special touches, resulting in a welcoming ski base, full of charm. As can be seen from the photographs, natural materials have been used wherever possible. Timbered walls and superbly designed bathrooms are enhanced with tiles imported from Italy.
From the moment you arrive, you can relax in style and comfort in our hom e from home and enjoy the best ski holiday ever, with great food and wine, top chalet facilities, a friendly atmosphere, and direct access to some of the best skiing in the world at the Tignes and Val d’Isère winter resort.
Arrival
On arrival, bags and skis can be unloaded directly outside the ski chalet, where staff will, whenever possible, help carry them to your rooms. This chalet has two levels with bedrooms on both levels. Ski and boot storage is on the ground floor and the dining room, kitchen and sitting room are on the first floor.
Dining Room/Sitting Room
At the heart of the chalet is the large and luxurious dining and sitting room. We have not seen any other chalet where the Alpine ambience is so wonderfully created. A hard days skiing, an excellent dinner, followed by an evening in front of the log fire in this chalet must be the closest thing to heaven! The dining area, part of this huge room but with its own space, has a single large table to a ccommodate everyone.
Bedrooms
The Chalet can comfortably take 12 guests. There are six bedrooms, three doubles, and three twins. All the bedrooms are individually furnished and decorated to a very high standard; no two rooms are the same.
On the ground floor, two bedrooms are doubles and two are twins, all en-suite, one with a large bath. The fifth bedroom, a double, is off the sitting room. Bedroom six is a large mezzanine over the sitting room (and as such can be disturbed by noise from below). Bedrooms five and six share a bathroom.
Heated Boot Rack
There is a heated boot rack on the ground floor and a ski locker on the patio.
Champagne Reception
Before the evening meal on the day of your arrival, you will be welcomed to our ski chalet with a champagne reception and canapés. You will be then be introduced to our staff.
Aperitifs
Each evening, you will be offered free pre-dinner drinks of beer, wine, or juices.
Breakfast & Afternoon Tea
Breakfast and afternoon tea is served each day. The breakfast will alwasy have a cooked option and an afternoon tea of homemade cakes, biscuits and tea will be waiting for you each day yon your return from the slopes.
Dinner
Dinner is served at 8.00 pm. In addition to three courses. Complimentary red and white wines are served in abundance throughout dinner. After dinner, enjoy a coffee, hot chocolate, decaffeinated coffee or tea.
