Kaprun Resort Description Kaprun is a small alpine village in the district of Zell am See in the state of Salzburg, Austria. Kaprun stands for a vacation face to face with the Kitzsteinhorn glacier. This icy mountain giant has enchanted visitors from all over the world. It truly is an adventure for the entire family. Kaprun makes up part of the Europa Sport region, with 130km of pistes, 50 of which are local. Like its neighbour, Kaprun is a year-round resort, with the Kitzsteinhorn glacier and lots of summer pursuits (golf, climbing, water sports). It is well equipped and has good transport links.This large ski area will offer something for everyone with beginners able to take advantage of the nice easy nursery slopes with the slightly more challenging blue runs to move on to. Intermediates and Advanced skiers and boarders have a mixture of options in Kaprun or Zell am See. Off the slopes, Kaprun is a large sprawling place with a good mixture of traditional Austrian eating and newer cuisine and has a lively nightlife. http://www.kaprun.at/
